Maša Kolar, Kroatin aus Zagreb, begann ihre Tanzausbildung bei Ana Maletić und studierte anschließend an der Vlaamse Dansacademie in Brügge sowie an der Universität Zagreb (BA) und der Fakultät für Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften in Rijeka (MA).
Sie tanzte zunächst am Komödientheater Zagreb, dann sechs Jahre im Ballett der Semperoper Dresden, wo sie 1995 Solistin wurde. 1997 erhielt sie den Mary Wigman Award. Danach war sie bei Thoss TanzKompanie, arbeitete mit Queensland Ballet in Australien, unterrichtete in Stockholm, assistierte Stephan Thoss in Essen und war bei Aterballetto in Italien tätig.
Ab 2006 war sie zehn Jahre als Tanzlehrerin und Choreographin am Jugendtheater Zagreb aktiv, während sie international freischaffend arbeitete. Sie choreographierte für das Nationaltheater Zagreb, Bitef Dance Company, das Nationale Jugendballett Hamburg, das Rijeka Ballet sowie das Kroatische Nationalballett und das Serbische Nationalballett. Zudem war sie in den letzten sieben Jahren Ballettdirektorin des Rijeka Ballet.
Maša Kolar, is Croatian from Zagreb. She began her dance training with Ana Maletić and later studied at the Vlaamse Dansacademie in Bruges, as well as at the University of Zagreb (BA) and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka (MA).She initially danced at the Zagreb Comedy Theatre, then spent six years with the Semperoper Dresden Ballet, where she became a soloist in 1995. In 1997, she received the Mary Wigman Award. Afterwards, she worked with Thoss TanzKompanie, collaborated with Queensland Ballet in Australia, taught in Stockholm, assisted Stephan Thoss in Essen, and was active with Aterballetto in Italy.From 2006, she spent ten years as a dance teacher and choreographer at the Zagreb Youth Theatre while working internationally as a freelance artist. She choreographed for the Zagreb National Theatre, Bitef Dance Company, the Hamburg National Youth Ballet, Rijeka Ballet, as well as the Croatian National Ballet and the Serbian National Ballet. Additionally, she has served as the ballet director of Rijeka Ballet for the past seven years.
